WOMEN POWER: CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE

A woman is pivot of the society. She is the focus & the go-getter for most of the pursuals.
Even the nature supports this, so why don't we??

Women have determined the course of events in the history and various forms of human culture. In India, women empowerment can lay the road to national growth and progress....

It is said,"If you a man you teach an individual but if you teach a woman , you teach the whole family". Education is one of the most important means of empowering women with the knowledge, skills and training of self. The educated woman is aware of her rights, her duties, her responsibilities towards the family and the society and realizes her potential to live her life on her own terms. People have become more aware resulting in a rapid decrease in girl infanticide and the changed attitude towards a girl in the society. They have started believing that women are more devoted to the work and at the same time look after their families too....

Government campaigns and changed portrayal of women in India media has done lots in changing the face of women for the better. Women status is on the ascent due to many favourable government policies and programmes. There are many schools and colleges which provide free education to girls. As our government work with a slogan"Sab Padhe, Sab Aage Badhe", Government is also striving to provide one-third reservation for the women in jobs as a support to liberate her. We can easily find that in this era there are more working women as she is no longer afraid to venture outdoors to earn a living and find her identity...

The government of India declared 2001 as the year of women empowerment. The principle of gender inequality is an integral part of our constitution. The National Commission for women was set up in 1990 to safeguard rights of Indian women. The 73rd and 74th amendments in Indian constitution(1993) provides for 33% reservation for women in local government bodies. 11th 5-year plan (2007-2012) also kept women empowerment and financial allocation for women in focus.

Women has shaped the politics in the country. It is said, I politics, if you want anything done, ask a woman politician. Since our struggle for Independence, revolutionaries like Gandhiji involved women to liberate our country from Britishers through Satyagrah. As women participation will increase in politics, she shall bring in front the obstacles that a women has to face since childhood, and force the government and common people to try and find the remedies. Indian women have come up a long way & will definitely emerge as a great human power with support for one and all.
